Web Archiving Practicum

I was lucky to be one of two recipients of a fellowship from the Pratt Institute School of Information that enabled me to conduct work in support of the New York Art Resources Consortium‘s efforts archiving at-risk web-based art resources.

Work was conducted at the Frick Art Reference Library together with another fellowship recipient, Anamaria Guzmán. Individual output included a paper contextualizing web archiving for art libraries, completed in the first semester of the fellowship for Kenneth Soehner’s LIS 667: Art Librarianship course. Collaborative output with Anamaria included a website summarizing our experience for Cristina Pattuelli’s LIS 698: Practicum course, as well as a 30-minute presentation given to Frick Collection staff and other invited guests at the Frick Art Reference Library.
