As a project for Emily Holmes’ course LIS 666: Rare Book Digitization in Spring 2018, I scanned (Atiz BookDrive Scanner, Capture, and Editor Pro software), edited (Adobe Photoshop), and uploaded a book from Pratt Institute’s library to the Internet Archive.
The book was Volume 11 in the series The Drama: Its History, Literature and Influence on Civilization, the second of three volumes on German drama. edited by Alfred Bates. The fully described, online e-book, with full metadata record uploaded to Internet Archive can be found here.
An additional requirement for the project was a brief report with an original description of the owning library, selection for digitization policy, care and handling policy, suggestion for future uses of the digitized book, collation documentation, MARC record, and Internet Archive metadata record.
